Teacher Info
I’m a guitar teacher who specialises in training beginners and intermediates and helps them approach at the instrument from an all-encompassing style.
I’ve taught dozens of students and am constantly learning new and more engaging ways to teach. My aim is for every student who finds them self in a band or jam session to be able to express themselves confidently, passionately and excitingly. Whatever the music.
Expressing yourself easily and fluently is my end goal for most students.
Music Qualifications & Achievements:
Self taught musician. Have been playing for 12-13 years.
For years I never improved and got stuck playing the same chords and the minor pentatonic scale over and over.
A few years ago I joined a band, started learning mandolin. Something clicked in my head and I decided to start taking music seriously.
Learning theory and techniques became a hobbie rather than a chore. I started to spend as much free time as I could learning.
Scales, Arpeggios, Chord extentions & relationships, Melody composition, Artist study.
I want to share my knowledge with others because I know what it’s like to have your guitar playing stagnate for years on end, and I know what joy it is to re-kindle your passion.
Plus I’m very proud of the tips I’ve learnt in these last few years and it gives me a very special feeling to teach a students one of my lessons and watch their faces as something clicks for them for the first time.
