Jake is a Guitar (both electric and acoustic), Bass and Double Bass Player From Cheshire first picking up an instrument at age 10 inspired by the film ‘School of Rockʼ. in 2018 he graduated from the RNCM after 4 years of study with a Bmus in Popular Music Performance.
He has been gaining one to one teaching experience since 2014 and is passionate about bringing music education to all ages and abilities. Jake performs regularly at Manchester venues with original bands as well as and Modern Pop Covers band ‘The Upstarts’ and Acoustic Duo ‘Lofty’.
Career highlights include working with Record Producer Pete Waterman 2014 – 2016 and numerous Hope Mill Theatre, Manchester Musical Youth and RNCM Musical Productions and numerous original gigs at Club Academy, Deaf Institute, Night People, Band on the Wall and Night and Day Cafe to name a few.

Mr Scoffield has been my guitar teacher for the last 10 months during that time we have had a great working relationship, we have learnt many new songs showing great patience with me and not only showing his musicial abbility and teaching skills and the way he was able to explain with one not so young in years he has been a great asset to this academy and i wish him well in what ever endeavour he does.
I have enjoyed having bass lessons with Jake, my playing and confidence have improved immensely. Jake is a very knowledgable teacher and will structure a lesson around your musical preferences but if you prefer to work through grades he caters for this also!
