Teacher Info

I am a Portuguese light soprano postgraduate at the University of Évora, Portugal. I’m currently living in Bath and taking private lessons with Marie Vassiliou who is currently a Professor of the vocal faculties of both the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the Royal Academy of Music.

As a teacher, I worked in Portugal in many schools. I’ve worked as a Singing Teacher in the ClassicArt Piano Academy in Lisbon (Portugal) and as a Music teacher (choir, singing and music education) in the Sonata- Association Sonata Alentejo, Évora (Portugal).

At the age of 22, I was invited to teach at the University of Évora the discipline of Voice II in the Theater Course of the Department of Performing Arts.

Meanwhile, I was always giving private lessons at home and I had a partnership with some choirs of Oporto (Portugal) as a singing teacher. Those choirs were the Female Choir of Paredes, Female Choir Conservatory of Vale do Sousa and Vocal Art Ensemble.

Music Qualifications & Achievements:

There are several professionals who contributed to my progress: Lúcia Lemos(PT), Caroline Stein (DE), Abbie Furmansky (USA), Edward Randal (DE), Sasja Hunnego (NL), Lenie van den Heuvel (NL), Rita Dams (NL), Pascal Bertin (NL) Rui Taveira (PT), António Salgado (PT), Orlanda Isidro (PT), Paula Morna Dória (PT), Pedro Nascimento (PT), Uri Cabot (ES), Dale Fundling (USA),
Janice Chapman (UK) and Marie Vassiliou (UK).

In the different productions and choirs I’ve been involved in, I worked with renowned conductors and directors such as Nils Schweckendiek, Paulo Lourenço, Christopher Bochmann, Pedro Teixeira, Owen Rees, Armando Possante, Peter Philipps, João Branco, Luis Antonio González Marín, Kodo Yamagishi, Ian Mikirtumov, Cesário Costa, Pedro Amaral, Eduardo Martins, Claudio Hochman and Pedro Ribeiro.

With only 24 years I sang a lot of opera roles as Juliet Brook and Sophie Brook (The Little Sweep by B. Britten), Barbarina (Le Nozze di Figaro by W. A. Mozart), Papagena (Die Zauberflöte by W.A. Mozart), Dido (Dido and Aeneas by H.Purcell), Amore (Orfeo Ed Euridice by C. W. Glück) and Cleopatra (Giulio Cesare by Handel).

As a choral singer, I had the opportunity to perform across Europe (France, Spain, Ireland, Switzerland, Netherlands, Italy and, of course, Portugal).

As a soloist choral singer, I was chosen for the “Meesters&Gezellen” 2019 project where I had the opportunity to work with four singers of the Helsinki Chamber Choir and his director Nils Schweckendiek.
