Teacher Info
My name is Amelia Wilding. I am a current Junior Guildhall student on the Jazz course, and a 2nd year at Northbrook MET college studying Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music Performance and Production. I am currently studying for my grade 8 Music Theory.
I have been Playing Electric bass for 3 years and Acoustic Guitar for 5 years. I have been playing with ensembles such as Jazz Groups, Concert Bands and Big Bands since I was very young and am very comfortable with playing in front of an audience and dealing with the pressure which comes with it… Which is why I am looking to help the younger generation of musicians build confidence and knowledge as a grounding which will set them up for later in life if they chose to follow their passion.
Although I am a jazz musician my background is in classical music playing Flute, Piano and Double Bass, as well as Percussion and Drum Kit. Whether it’s reading sheet music, chord charts, tab or by ear. I am looking to teach Beginners/Intermediates. Equally, I feel with my level of harmony understanding I have a lot to offer any musician who is looking to develop, improve and learn! Come September 2022 I will be taking a place at Trinity Laban to study Jazz bass with an Unconditional Offer and Scholarship.
