I have experience teaching both children and adults in a wide range of styles. I recommend starting from ages 7 and up.
I'm able to teach a wide range of styles including Pop, Rock, Mainstream, Folk, Classical & many more. Let me know what styles you enjoy.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.

Hello, my name is Marcela and I am a patient and enthusiastic guitar (acoustic/electric) and ukulele tutor. I have taught guitar for three years, which includes individuals and small groups, both children and adults.
I have achieved a grade 8 in guitar & this helps me make sure your lessons are of the highest standard & that I can teach you in any direction you like.
I can teach a wide range of styles and genres including all the songs that you love. Here are a few songs that are frequently requested by my students: Thunder by Imagine Dragons, Born in the USA by Bruce Springsteen, Hello by Adele, Yellow Submarine by Beatles, Wonderwall by Oasis.

We work on songs/pieces that you feel passionate about. Music theory, technique, scales, etc. happen as we work on THE SONGS. I believe that learning should be fun and making mistakes is a part of all learning. The lessons can be very flexible, depending on your needs.
I provide all the materials for the lessons but we can use a handbook if you prefer. For online lessons, we can use an interactive platform to make the lesson time fun and efficient.
You may want to learn ukulele for enjoyment but if you are more technique and grades driven, please note that I'm most familiar with RGT exams (under London College of Music).
Your questions about learning online answered
Learning online is something that has really taken off in 2020. For many, it seems like it would be difficult when in fact it's really easy.
All you need is a computer with a working camera & an internet connection of at least 5Mbps & then you can download Skype for free. Once you have done this, you're all set to start.
My lessons over skype are conducted in the same way my face to face lessons are. They will be built around the music you love and in a direction that you want to learn in.
I'm a professional guitarist also offering ukulele lessons in a wide range of genres and styles over skype. I will make a lesson plan that suits your needs as a player and learner & together we will learn the music that you both love and enjoy. My lessons are charged at £15 per 1/2 hour and £25 per an hour for all students.
My lessons are all taken via Skype from the comfort of your own home.
The students that I teach are of all ages. I would recommend starting no younger than 7 though.
Weekly lessons combined with plenty of practice at home is the best way to improve.
For lessons canceled more than 24 hours prior to the lesson then there is no charge. For lessons canceled less than 24 hours then the full price of the lesson is charged.
