About

About

Hey, I’m Sarah. I moved to Liverpool three years ago to study a BA(Hons) in Music and Popular Music at the University of Liverpool. I’ve been singing and playing saxophone and piano primarily since a very young age, and have since developed a broad depth of experiences playing in various bands and ensembles. I have a very open view of music genres, so you could find me classical singing, or playing sax in my jazz-funk band, so I hope to bring this enthusiasm to my students!

In my music teaching, I ensure a long-term plan and goal is determined with students, which I understand is totally individual and I really try to embrace each individual student’s needs. Motivation is a key aspect of lessons that I try to maintain through the chosen repertoire, and I believe that my enthusiasm and love of music really shine through in my teaching. I, therefore, ensure that repertoire is appropriate for the age and skill level of a student, as well as being to their taste and musical preference.
