About

About

Ruth has over ten years of academic training and is a professional singer in her own right. She enjoyed studying at the British Academy of New Music in London helping her to deliver singing lessons right at the cutting edge of current vocal teaching practice.

Indeed, her students regularly achieve distinction grades in their singing exams, excel in competitions and perform sets in front of live audiences. She also has coached singers preparing for singing auditions such as the X Factor and other TV talent shows.

Ruth also loves to celebrate her students’ achievements, regularly holding her own performance nights at local music venues for students to give them the chance to show off their singing. There is no pressure to sing at these events before you feel ready but they are such great nights, with a really friendly community feel – the perfect environment to give your first live vocal performance.

Ruth is also trained in Piano and Music Theory and she will be happy to take you through the basics of both if you are interested.
