About

Konstantin is a North London-based professional offering in-person Trombone lessons for students of different ages and levels. Konstantin graduated from Gnesin Russian Academy of Music under Prof. Vladimir Shkolnik in 2017.

Konstantin held the Co-principal Trombone position at Moscow Provincial Theatre for six years. His orchestral career includes working at the Moscow-based Ensemble of Song and Dance and Belgorod State Philarmonic. He also performed in a professional Big-Band for one year. As a freelance trombonist, Konstantin had a chance to play in symphonic orchestras under the conduction of A. Lebedev, A. Soloviev, S. Skripka, S. Kondrashev, N. Sokolov and V. Fedoseev. As the soloist and an ensemble player, Konstantin has participated in chamber music recitals with pieces by L. Grondahl, A. Nesterov, A. Prior, M. Ignatova, K. Serozki, V. Uspenski and E. Cook. He has one year of proven teaching experience at a music school in Russia, where he provided face-to-face trombone and recorder lessons for primary school pupils.

Konstantin’s lessons are focused on working at basic techniques along with carefully selected repertoire in accordance with students’ aims and preferences. In his teaching, Konstantin specializes mainly in classical trombone repertoire, but he could also give a piece of advice about jazz and commercial playing. To get the most out of studying with Konstantin it is recommended not only to practice the instrument and to attend lessons consistently but also to be a real fan of trombone and orchestral music. It is a highly-rewarding process, and the more one invests in their education, the more joy they obtain from listening to music and playing the trombone.

For students pursuing ABRSM grades or other exam preparations, Konstantin offers lessons at a reduced price.

The first lesson is aimed at establishing guidelines for future cooperation. The lessons are provided in English or Russian and usually take place at the student’s home or Mill Hill Music Complex. Communication in German is also possible.
