    Hi Nick,

It’s definitely also for coverbands and function bands! A big part of our bookers are looking for those kind of acts,

    Greetings,

    Hi Laura,

Thank you for your response! I think good agents can be really important for artists. They use their personal network and skills to help the artist getting gigs. As a platform we don’t want to and cannot replace that profession. But we can definitely strengthen each other. In the Netherlands already a lot of agents are using Gigstarter. It’s a great way for them to get extra gigs for their acts/roster.

Totally agree with you, there must be 100% transparency on the platform, and that’s what we offer. You can see the prices and bookers have direct contact with the artist/manager. No tiring middleman involved. Do you also work with a lot of contracts for every Gig? Is it usual in the UK?

    Hope to hear from you,
    Tom

I think I need to stop being so lenient with them! Definitely considering a 48 hour cancellation policy – I definitely have enforced mine enough this year.

Not yet, but if you try to teach him/her singing it would be great for you. You could teach him/ her by sign language. This would help you a lot and you can teach other physical disabled people.

Okay, but let’s say that at this point I already have a way to position the instrument and sheet notes in such a way that I can see these two things at the same time. How to exercise? So far, what I have done is set the metronome to a tempo appropriate for me, and when the metronome clicks, I read the note and ring the bell. Is this even the correct way to practice playing?

Mix and mastering are the latter steps determining your progress as an artist, not just a singer. After you’re done recording a song, you’ll listen to it, and to enhance the parts and pieces which you don’t like or have room for improvement will go through the mixing process. This is the art of combining tons of recorded tapes to get one solid version of your music. Mastering is the smooth playback and rendering once you’re done making your music. In short, you need two different applications and processes to complete mixing and mastering.

Slow Down Complex Passages: When you encounter a challenging passage, slow it down and practice it repeatedly until you can play it accurately. Gradually increase the tempo. Of course the most important thing is your personal state Stay Relaxed: Tension in your hands and fingers can hinder speed and accuracy. Pay attention to your posture and hand positioning, and try to remain relaxed while playing. Take your time to build a solid foundation of accuracy, and speed will naturally follow as your skills improve.

    Hey there,

Improving your guitar speed takes time and practice. Start with a metronome, gradually increasing tempo. Focus on accuracy first, then build speed. Scales, exercises, and consistent practice will help. Patience is key – speed will come with dedication!

Improving your speed on the guitar is a common goal for many guitarists. While it requires time, practice, and patience, here are some tips to help you develop faster playing:

    1. Proper Technique: Focus on proper technique and hand positioning. Ensure that your fretting hand and picking hand are relaxed, and your movements are efficient. This will allow for faster and more accurate playing.
    2. Start Slow: When working on speed, start by practicing at a comfortable and manageable pace. Gradually increase the tempo as you become more comfortable and accurate. Rushing to play fast without building a solid foundation can lead to sloppy technique and mistakes.
    3. Use Metronome: Utilize a metronome to practice playing in time and gradually increase the speed. Start at a slower tempo and gradually raise it as you gain control and accuracy. This helps develop a sense of timing and builds muscle memory.
    4. Isolate Challenging Parts: Identify the specific passages or techniques that are challenging for you. Break them down into smaller sections and practice them slowly, gradually increasing the speed. Focus on accuracy and clean execution before attempting to play them at higher speeds.
    5. Practice with Rhythm Patterns: Incorporate rhythmic variations into your practice routine. This helps develop your sense of timing and synchronization between both hands. Practice playing scales, arpeggios, and other exercises with different rhythmic patterns.
    6. Alternate Picking and Economy of Motion: Pay attention to your picking technique. Alternate picking (alternating between downstrokes and upstrokes) and economy of motion (minimizing unnecessary movements) are crucial for speed. Practice scales, patterns, and licks using alternate picking to build speed and fluidity.
    7. Finger Independence Exercises: Work on exercises that improve finger independence and dexterity. Practice scales, chromatic exercises, and fingerpicking patterns that target each finger individually. This will help build strength and coordination.
    8. Consistent Practice: Consistency is key. Set aside regular practice sessions dedicated to improving your speed. Short, focused practice sessions every day are more effective than sporadic, lengthy sessions. Gradual, consistent progress yields better results in the long run.
    9. Play with Backing Tracks and Songs: Incorporate playing along with backing tracks and songs into your practice routine. This allows you to apply your speed-building techniques in a musical context and develop your ability to play fast while maintaining groove and musicality.

Hey -if you’re looking to play guitar faster, try practicing with a metronome to boost your speed and get yourself used to playing along to a beat. You can also try playing along to your favourite songs to help improve your speed too, it’s a great way to get some enjoyable practice in! Good luck!

For new beginner you should firstly you should teach them old bands. This will give them experience how to play music. This will help them to improve their skills, after which they can play new bands and show their talent in concerts.
