About

About

My name is Emma and I have been teaching singing privately for over ten years now and love it just as much, if not more than when I first started! I have a BA (Hons) in music and specialised in music across the community and educational settings. I also have a PGCE in secondary education and have taught performing arts in many schools across the North East region. I have experience teaching all age ranges. I encourage all of my students to have an active role in selecting their own learning materials whilst also offering Rockschool examinations.

I have performed as a professional singer in multiple musical ensembles for several years including rock, pop, blues, jazz, singer/songwriter, and acoustic bands giving experience in all genres and styles of music. I have performed in various shows around the UK including a musical duo, trio, four-piece band and Celine Dion & Diva Tribute. I have performed in various venues including, weddings, functions, corporate events, social clubs, restaurants and festivals.

I have written and sold albums/EPs both in the UK and America, in addition to performing my original music around the UK. I have experience as choir leader, arranger and performance director.

So no matter what age you are or what level you are currently at let me help you to develop your voice to its full vocal potential.

I had a dream to sing at my daughters wedding, as I hadn’t sang in public or for that matter sang in my adult life. I contacted Emma and told her that I wanted to to sing at the wedding. We arranged lessons and come the wedding day I sang at my daughters wedding. All thanks to Emma’s excellent training. Many thanks Emma.

“My daughter Emily needed to sing as part of her dance audition at Liverpool institute for performing arts we contacted Emma Sheldon for help as she hadn’t sung for a long time and she only had a few weeks to learn a song from scratch Emma did a fantastic job she got the right key for Emily and supplied the piano music sheets for the audition we can not thank her enough and all her efforts paid off as Emily has been offered a place for September we would recommend Emma without reservation many thanks again Emma.”
