About

Hello – Adam here! I am a self-taught professional guitarist and guitar teacher with a strong belief in music being a fundamental method of self-expression and communication. I reflect this in my teaching style by allowing students the creative space to explore the instrument and its capabilities, and in doing so help them cultivate a love of the instrument and find their own voice.

Music Qualifications & Achievements:

  • I started teaching myself at age 15, and began performing professionally at age 18.
  • I also hold: BSc in Sound Technology & Digital Music
  • Grade 8 Guitar with Distinction

Excellent teacher! Patient, enthusiastic and with a real love of music and guitar. Lessons are tailored to my interests and ability, and always feel really thought through and unique. He’s helped me get over my fear of theory! Adam is great at putting you at ease and most importantly enjoy the lessons, which fly by! My lessons are on zoom and although I was unsure how well this work – work really well!

Fantastic guitar tutor. Adaptable, enthusiastic. If I am learning something that is a bit complicated, we find ways of making it work at my ability. I always look forward to our lessons together. Highly recommended!

I am one of his students (still am) he helps me improve playing the guitar, he is responsible, enthusiastic and professional. His guitar lessons are always enjoyable, well-structured, interesting and engaging. He makes me more motivated to continue learning new stuff and playing the guitar.

Adam is a very inspiring and motivating teacher. He has found the perfect balance between being very approachable and making the lesson a comfortable space for learning, whilst also providing motivation and inspiration to find the joy in guitar playing, and to develop.

Adam is very passionate about the guitar and music in general, and is happy to teach any song that is requested of him, however obscure. It is clearly very important to him that the lesson is enjoyable, and he works hard to ensure that.

Adam has a way of teaching that makes it very accessible. I know he teaches a beginner wonderfully with his clear and concise way of explaining, because that was me. However, having learnt with him for a while I can see he is incredibly technical with his knowledge, so I know he could offer an experienced guitarist a lot of inspiration and wisdom too.

I really look forward and enjoy my weekly lessons with Adam.

He is very patient and has a flexible style. I typically pick a song I’d like to learn for homework then together we’d piece it together and Adam would guide me to the different ways that I can play the piece.

I like that challenges me not to opt for the cappo or the easy option to further my skills, it’s been great to unlock the whole neck. The lessons are highly tailored towards what music/style you’d like to learn or Adam will pick something suitable.

Adam makes lessons great fun and is open to teaching any genre, I believe he would be great with kids.

I highly recommend him.

“Adam is an amazing guitar teacher. He is professional, confident, reliable and inspirational. He has been teaching my 9-year-old son for six months and has constantly responded to his needs and encouraged enthusiasm for the instrument. As a qualified music teacher, I would highly recommend Adam as a guitar teacher.”

“A really gifted guitar teacher who really loves his job, and it shows! He can pick up songs by ear alone, and if they are too difficult he is very good at adapting them to suit my level of ability.”

“My son has been having lessons for a few months now, Adam has been very patient and encouraging, he asks what music he likes or if there is any he would like to learn. Very happy with his progress.”
