Hello, My name is Jon and I am a professional guitar teacher based in Witney. I provide high quality lessons to students of all ages and all abilities.
My approach to teaching is to help the students reach their full potential whilst they have a fun and enjoyable experience learning. I will set targets and work step by step with the students in order to get the best possible outcome in the shortest amount of time.
My lessons will be completely tailored to your needs, so what ever your preference in style we will focus on that, learning and playing through your favourite songs and guitar riffs, whilst developing great technique and understanding of the guitar.

Although I specialise in classical and finger style guitar, I can cover all styles including rock and pop. Many of the techniques you will learn in lessons cross over to different genres of music, so you can experiment in all styles.
I have experience in teaching a wide range of age groups and I would advise that young learners start no younger than ages 5. Whatever your ability, we will work together to achieve your goals and get the best possible outcome in the shortest amount of time.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
I like to always make sure that all of my lessons are of the highest quality. I'm always open to feedback to make sure I maintain a high level of learning.

I am an incredibly experienced guitar teacher and have been playing the guitar for as long as I can remember. I have a great amount of both teaching and performing experience, having even appeared on BBC Radio 3 as a live guitarist.
I have been teaching for over a decade around the North West in institutions such as the Royal Northern College of Music, Bolton School, Lancaster Community Music Centre as well as privately.
As well as releasing two solo albums I have been regarded by The Guardian as "impressively expert" and by Classical Guitar Magazine as "a highly talented player". These are all qualities I want to pass onto my students.

My lessons offer high quality learning for students at any age or ability, in either acoustic or electric guitar. My lessons will be tailored to your needs to ensure you develop at the fastest rate.
My approach to teaching to make sure students have a fun and enjoyable learning experience, whilst reaching their full potential as a guitarist. Lessons will be personalised to your needs, focusing on whatever style you would prefer.
You will develop a good understanding of the guitar, and I will provide students will practices and exercises to ensure they are able to practice outside of lessons and develop their playing in their own time.

There is a small but strong music scene in the area of Witney, with some great studio and practice spaces.
The Witney Music Rooms, is a great place to go if you want to bag some cheap recording sessions. It was purposely built to help support local acts & give them a place to rehearse and record
Green Room Studios,is a great studio in the area that focuses more on the recording side of things. They cater to all genres and will even help produce and package your recordings.
The Arc Studios, is a fantastic studio and rehearsal space located in Witney. Perfect for practicing your instrument or recording some new material.

Lessons are £40 per hour and £25 per half an hour.
The lessons take place in my home studio in Witney, OX29 4AZ. Full details will be provided on your first booking.
I have experience in teaching a wide range of age groups. I would advise that young learners start no younger than ages 5.
This is totally up to you, I will work around your schedule. But I advise weekly lessons to get into a good routine.
Guitar Lessons Witney has a 48-hour cancellation policy whereby if any lessons are cancelled within 48 hours of the booking, you will be charged the full lesson fee.
