I think that music should be for everyone & because of this, I teach students of all ages. I would recommend starting no younger than 5 though.
If you want to pursue graded exams I am in a great position to help you with that and help you prepare for them. Please let me know if this is something you're interested in.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
I welcome both advanced students and beginner students. I can teach you in a wide range of styles and genres as well. Make sure & let me know what you're interested in.
I am a dedicated musician who specializes in all areas of the guitar. I am a motivated music teacher, having taught guitar since 2010. I am able to convey ideas clearly and provide a structured series of lessons that see my students make progress instantly. I am also aware of the importance of making lessons as entertaining for the students as possible.
I currently teach classical, acoustic, and electric guitar at Simon Langton Girls Grammar School (Canterbury, Kent) and Chatham House Grammar School (Ramsgate, Kent.) References for both schools are available if required. I use assembly performances and workshops to allow students to experience all areas of the guitar and other stringed instruments. I am currently working on bringing guitar based ensembles to the music departments of each school.
I have worked in many professional function bands, performing at venues across the UK. In doing so, I have gained a great amount of experience, working with a variety of other musicians in bands that cover all genres of music, which I aim to pass on to all of my students.
My lessons are always conducted in a professional manner and I always want to make sure that my students get the most out of their lessons with me. I am extremely approachable and will always help you with any difficulties you may encounter.
I offer both electric and acoustic lessons in a wide range of styles. I myself play so many styles so this is always reflected in my teaching and my playing.
As well as all my playing experience I have achieved a Ba (Hons) Commercial Music (Canterbury Christchurch University, Kent). This is another aspect that will help me ensure that your lessons are of a high standard.
There are a wide range of shops and courses in Broadstairs where you can pick up guitars or further your understanding and education in the music industry.

I currently take the majority of my lessons from my home teaching studio on Beacon Rd, Broadstairs, CT10 3DF.
I teach a wide range of ages & offer my lessons to students aged 5 and above. From experience, children ages under 5 tend to struggle with learning guitar.
