Recommendation From a Student (Singing Teachers)
Posted by Guest Teacher on July 2, 2024 at 7:51 pmHey all, a pupil of mine recommended this to me. Definitely worth a watch. Its about Connie Fisher from How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? working with a vocal coach to get her voice back.

Great share – def. interesting. I am half way through and gota be honest I didn’t like that her voice hurt after the lesson or she was drinking wine!ha at such a crucial / intense period for her voice? I am not sure about him – looking forward to watching the rest later tonight!

Yes, I wondered about that as well, but I guess it could’ve been hurting from the physical damage rather than the method applied. Definitely didn’t notice the wine lol!

I have a new student who has come to me because she has seen this TV show!
-
Is she in a similar situation or just trying to prevent it?
-
Similar situation. Although there’s no physical damage to her vocal folds. She had mouth cancel and now holds a lot of anxiety and anger in her throat! which is such a shame as she has recordings of what her voice used to sound like. Now it’s so gravelly. Any advice guys?
