My Lessons

Whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced performer looking to get to that next level, everyone is welcome. I’ve been playing and teaching for over 15 years and I appreciate every step of the journey. I’ve taught young and senior musicians alike and I've absorbed a wide spectrum of methods and philosophies that all apply to the learning process.

I am fluent in many styles of music and I’m motivated to enjoy and understand them all. Most of all, I’m curious to know what does it for you, so that we can set out a plan that gets you playing your favourite music ASAP and leave you excited to get back behind the drums at every opportunity.

Prices:

30€ for one hour OR
4 x 25€ for a monthly package.

Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.

My Experience as a Teacher

I am a British drummer, producer, sound engineer and teacher with many years working in music.

As a player I have been fortunate to have performed in both studio and live settings all over the world, with sets at Glastonbury and BBCs Maida Vale Studios, and tours with Mumford and Sons and Nick Mulvey to name a few.

I have lived in Berlin since 2017 having spent my earlier years studying Jazz music in both Leeds and London, England. Berlin has a great scene and culture to be a part of and I'm happy to be here! l have built and developed a comfortable music studio in Friedrichshain where my lessons and musical projects take place in a comfortable and homely environment.

More About My Lessons

I enjoy so many different styles of music but my specialist education is in jazz. I am also a multi-instrumentalist and will often jam with my students so they can develop the confidence and the maturity to jam with other musicians and find the context and purpose to their drumming.

Similarly if you are looking at getting into music production and recording of the drums I have the facilities and the knowledge to help you expand as a creator.

Group lessons are also thoroughly encouraged, whether you want to learn as a drumming pair or bring your band, anything is possible so feel free to ask if you have a particular wish. Ultimately I’m there to help you get the most out of music in every way possible.
