Teacher Info

Hello! My name is Rebecca and I’m a vocal tutor based in Spital, Wirral, UK.

I have a passion for music that has been with me since I was a little girl, and my performance classes are what shaped me into the person I am today. I am now very grateful that I now have the opportunity to teach, and share my passion with others.

I gained A* in Music and Performing Arts at GCSE Level, and A in Performing Arts at A Level. During my time in high school, I also became an Academy Associate for the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, training in Singing, Performing Arts and Dance. I attended LIPA for 3 years, before eventually auditioning for university. I then attended The Hammond School of Performing Arts, Chester, where I trained in Technique, Ensemble Singing and Acting Through Song. It was during my time in university that I also gained my Grade 8 in Pop Vocals with distinction via Trinity. I eventually gained my BA (Hons) Degree in Musical Theatre, graduating with a First Class award.

Although I am professionally trained in Musical Theatre, however I have knowledge in the area of pop vocals also. My classes can focus on anything from vocal technique training, to audition repertoire practice. I also have a vast amount of experience within the world of performance. I was featured as a Supporting Vocalist for Britains Got Talent winners Collabro, on their 2019 UK Tour, which was an amazing experience! I have been featured in local musicals over the years, such as Oliver!, Les Miserables, We Will Rock You, Into The Woods, and Bad Girls. I also have pantomime experience, such as Aladdin and Alice In Wonderland.

After leaving high school, I was honoured with the ‘Music Major’ Award After graduating from university last year, I went on to work as a Lead Vocalist for Haven Holidays, which was an amazing experience in which I got to perform for large audiences several nights a week. After returning from Haven, I decided that I wanted to fulfil another passion of mine; to start teaching.

Alongside vocal tuition, this year I am also completing my Postgraduate Degree in Teacher Training, whilst working on placement as a Secondary Drama & Music teacher. I offer 1/2 hour and 1 hour lessons, at a rate of £12 for the half, and £20 for the full hour. My lesson content can vary based off of the students needs, such as ‘Acting Through Song’ , exploring vocal repertoire, practice for a specific vocal grade, or vocal technique classes.

Overall, I am keen to share my passion with more students who are interested in learning how to sing, practicing their craft, or gaining more overall singing experience. My classes take place at my home in Spital, Wirral.
