Music was meant to be for me. I played the Cello, Violin, Tuba and Piano and sang in Youth projects as a child. This has been a major inspiration to be able to teach as I had such a great experience with music education myself. It gave me confidence, skills, and experience that have helped in all aspects of my career.

I was a student of Rebecca’s in my gap year and without Rebecca’s guidance and expertise, I would not be at the standard I am now. I am a current undergraduate student at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, and I will be forever grateful to her for giving me the confidence to give a successful audition, and the best preparation for my degree.

Rebecca’s teaching has allowed me to be independent with my musical decision making, whilst guiding me clearly on how to portray certain intentions with good vocal technique, so that I am in full control of my body during practice and performance.

Rebecca expected me to learn new repertoire for each lesson every week. Her high expectations gave me a good indication of what my degree would be like at Conservatoire. Therefore, I felt that I was in a professional environment and was being taken seriously as a vocal student.

I still use Rebecca’s teaching methods, and I know that I have lifelong improvements to my vocal technique, stage presence, and overall awareness of my voice as a performer. Thank you Rebecca!

Our daughter is a confident dancer & has performed on stage many times but when it came to singing she had no confidence or belief in her ability at all.

She reluctantly agreed to singing lessons & we hoped it would give her some self belief.

We have been astonished by her growth since taking lessons with Beccy. She is now happy & confident to sing, is taking her first musical theatre exam next month & has even been given a song & dance competition piece by her dance school as they too have been blown away by her progress!

We would definitely recommend Beccy, she is a fabulous teacher & we couldn’t be more pleased.
