I am a guitarist and guitar teacher based in Essex with over a decade of professional playing experience in all styles of popular music. Primarily self-taught, I decided to attain a formal music education in 2014. In 2017 I was awarded a First Class Honours Degree in Popular Music from the University of Essex at Colchester Institute.

I have achieved a diverse experience of live performance having played lead and rhythm guitar for a number of bands across the county including: Punch it Chewie, The Intermission Blues Band, Stiff in the Morning and Stone Shuffle Jones.

Venues have included: Colchester Arts Centre, Cosmic Puffin Festival (Mersea Island) and Colchester Football Stadium.

I have also played session lead guitar for Colchester’s Mercury Theatre in various productions such as:

• Quadrophenia (2013)
• Sleeping Beauty (2013 – 2014)
• The Wall (2014)

I offer tuition in multiple styles of popular music to an advanced level and am DBS checked.

Styles include:

• Blues, Pop, Rock, Funk, Acoustic Guitar and Jazz.

I’m able to teach to music grade syllabus including:

• Rockschool, ABRSM and The Registry of Guitar Tutors grades.

I’m able to travel to student’s homes.
