A professional musician in possession of outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, hardworking, loyal, committed and highly enthusiastic, the candidate continually seeks new experiences and responsibilities.

Having commenced trumpet studies at the age of eight, the candidate joined the Junior Conservatoire at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama aged 15 with scholarship support. This experience accelerated his development and breadth of experience, leading to him winning the Brass Prize in the final year.

He was awarded a full ABRSM scholarship to the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama from where he graduated with a BMus in 2017. Since then he has been in high demand, working as a professional, freelance musician for renowned orchestras and other ensembles.

He has performed as a soloist and as part of smaller ensembles in large and small venues across the UK and has developed a strong reputation for his outreach work and personal tuition. Since graduating from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, he has taught Brass at Aberdare School for Three years teaching Trumpet/Cornet from beginner up to Diploma level.

Also having taught trumpet privately for 3 years, currently tutoring 4 pupils but looking to expand this if possible. Being a freelance trumpet player his schedule is very flexible so am able to teach at different times during the day. During Covid 19 he has also been teaching successfully via Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Music Qualifications & Achievements:

• GCSE Music, A level Music and BMUS from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama
• As a freelance performer, I have performed with orchestras such as BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Welsh National Opera Orchestra, Opera North Orchestra, English Symphony Orchestra and British Sinfonietta
• I have also performed in touring musicals including Matilda the UK tour
• I also perform as part of a chamber group named Top Brass Trio, who represent Live Music Now and Music In Hospitals where we perform and present music workshops in schools, hospitals and concerts all over Wales and the UK, and have most recently performed live on Radio 3
