Email: [email protected]
Musician and educator for over 18 years, privately, in college and in schools for both the private and public sector. Beginner to advanced musicians welcome we will formulate a clear path to progression with lots of varied repertoire and techniques to help you feel progress at every step.
I teach both classical and jazz repertoire including improvisation, incorporating improvisation into every step to help develop aural skills. Originally I was taught in a band method with others and the benefits of playing in ensembles, although daunting, speeds progress and enjoyment. I conduct many adult ensembles or varying abilities and will always try and help you find a group to join and experience the excitement of playing with others.

Andy has been a fantastic teacher for the past 7 years and he’s been great tutor for both classical and jazz! His passion for music is infectious and he’s really helped my confidence grow – this combined with his attention to detail and character is great for preparing pieces for both music exams and concerts! I’d highly recommend him for both learners and more experienced players alike.”

“Andy worked as a peripatetic music teacher when I was a music coordinator. He was so enthusiastic about woodwind and brass that the whole of the school wanted to learn a saxophone after one assembly! His lessons were fun and engaging.”
