About

About

Hi, I’m Shannon. I’m a Guitar Tutor based in Exeter, Devon.

I have a real passion for music and performing, and I’m told, that shows in my approach to teaching. I love to work with absolute beginners with a ‘blank canvas’ as well as the challenge of helping more experienced students improve their technique and confidence.

I encourage creativity when it comes to learning an instrument and will work with you to achieve your goals and ultimately play that piece that you thought was out of reach! Perhaps you want to accompany yourself on an acoustic guitar when singing your favourite tunes, or perhaps you have always wanted to nail that killer solo, or maybe you’d like to jam along with other musicians at an open-mic ?

Along with practical lessons, I can also help you improve your knowledge and understanding of music theory, without making it feel like a classroom environment. How much you learn, and at what rate is entirely up to you !

Music Qualifications & Achievements:

I have taught guitar to students of all ages and abilities for many years, in various styles from Country to Metal and everything in between.

I have also been a semi-pro guitarist in various live acts over the years and have spent time in recording studios with some very good musicians.
