Experienced Classical Singing / Violin Teacher. Margo is a professional classical singer enjoying a rich career on UK and international opera stages, and passionate about transmitting her experience to her students. She teaches Classical Singing (song and opera) from teenagers to adults of all levels, and believes any age is right to start singing! Margo has a wide knowledge and experience of vocal technique, breath work and vocal health which she passes on in her teaching.

Her aim as a teacher is to provide and safe space to empower her students to find their own voice. She gives them reliable tools to improve their sound and their confidence, so that their personality can shine through their voice.Margo can also cater specifically for students interested in pursuing vocal tuition at a professional level and can prepare them for entrance exams to prestigious music schools.

Having trained at the CNSM Lyon, Hochschule für Musik Munich, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and National Opera Studio, and now working internationally, Margo is well equipped to help students prepare at the highest level – and knows how to keep the journey fun and fresh!

Before becoming an opera singer, Margo trained as a violinist for 14 years (Suzuki Method and Lyon Conservatoire) and now enjoys teaching violin at adult beginner level. Prices for singing and violin lessons differ – please don’t hesitate to get in touch to get a price list!

Cancelation & Rescheduling Policy

1. Pay-as-you-go

The Teacher will charge for any scheduled lessons which the Pupil does not attend, unless either i) the Pupil (or the Pupil’s parent or carer) has given the Teacher at least 48 hours’ written notice or ii) the Teacher chooses not to do so because of exceptional circumstances. If the Teacher cancels a scheduled lesson, the Pupil (or the Pupil’s parent or carer) may choose between (i) receiving a replacement lesson or (ii) receiving a refund of the lesson fee.

2. Blocks of lessons

The Teacher will not refund any scheduled lessons which the Pupil does not attend, unless the Teacher chooses to do so because of exceptional circumstances. If the Teacher cancels a scheduled lesson, the Pupil (or the Pupil’s parent or carer) may choose between (i) carrying the lesson forward; (ii) receiving a replacement lesson; or (iii) receiving a refund of the lesson fee.

If the Pupil stops attending lessons while a Block of Lessons is ongoing, the Pupil (or the Pupil’s parent or carer) is not entitled to a refund of any fees paid for that Series. The Pupil is entitled to attend any lessons paid for.
