Teacher Info
I have 30 years of cello teaching experience starting with the Junior Department at the RNCM in the 80’s until the present day where I am a cello professor and chamber music tutor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
I am keen to also teach privately where I live in Canterbury. I have experience teaching students from 8-80 and have degrees from RNCM, Manchester and Yale University ( Masters).
My playing career also spans 3 decades. I have been Principal Cello with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra for a decade as well as a member of the Zehetmair String Quartet. The pandemic made me realise that my work life can also thrive whilst remaining closer to home and I am keen to build a private teaching practice in Kent.
