Hello! My name is James and I am a professional drum teacher. I have been fortunate enough to have had an extremely fun and varied wealth of experience in drum teaching, from working within secondary schools and colleges in order to provide group lessons, to working with people of all ages and backgrounds on a one-to-one basis.
I believe that my continuous live experience in jazz, funk, soul, hip-hop and rock groups (amongst others) has greatly contributed to my abilities and attitudes towards teaching, allowing me to tailor lessons to all individuals and to make each session fun, exciting and unique!
Music Qualifications & Achievements:
I have a BA Hons in popular music from the University of Northampton, am a Grade 8 qualified drummer, have toured as a musician alongside residencies at Midlands venues, I have 4 years experience of supporting students with learning needs, an A level in music and over 13 years of live drumming experience, alongside a position as a Lead Tutor for a Leicester-based music charity.
