Teacher Info
Hello! I am Elliot and I play the saxophone, clarinet and flute. I’ve studied the clarinet at music college, the saxophone at university and the flute I taught myself along the way!
I’ve played many gigs and have experience being recording in professional environments.
I pride myself on being very versatile as a musician. On saxophone I perform regularly in clubs alongside House DJ’s; as well being a member of the jazz-punk band, Ask My Bull (check us out online!).
On clarinet I am classically trained; having played in various orchestras including the Halle Youth Orchestra and the CBSO Youth Orchestra.
I have also played in Balkan/Klezmer bands; so my style stretches to Eastern European folk music.
On flute I enjoy playing a bit of anything. I like to play funk, hip-hop, soul- as well as the styles already mentioned.
Teaching Experience
I have been teaching music privately for the past 7 years. I previously worked for Front-Row Music and One Education (Manchester Music Service); where I teach instruments at primary schools. Now I’ve moved to London I’m going to start working with Hounslow Music Service and Enfield Music Service.
I have a certificate in music teaching from Quench Arts and Birmingham Music Service.
I previously worked as an ensemble leader and peripatetic teacher at Xaverian Sixth Form College.
