Teacher Info

My name is Amy, I work in the healthcare profession and currently teaching the piano to my own children, nieces, nephews and neighbours (aged between 3 and 8 years old).

I play the piano to Grade 8 level and enjoy playing as a hobby. I also have learnt to play the cello and double bass, although it’s been a little while since playing those!

I have played the piano since I was at least 6 years old and have enjoyed it ever since. I loved singing and playing my instruments in choirs and orchestras regularly until aged 18, but since then piano has been my focus. It has kept me sane through my many years of healthcare studies and been my go to for “me-time” as a Mum too!

I love sharing knowledge and that is why I teach the piano to young ones I know in my spare time. It is a relaxed environment and although we base lessons to prepare the students for structured examinations, fun is the focus.

Music Qualifications & Achievements:

  • Grade 1-7 Classical Piano
  • Grade 1-5 Music Theory
  • Grade 1-5 Cello
  • Grade 3 Double Bass

I have taken part in several Eisteddfods, winning gold in one.

I love to share knowledge and I enjoy playing the piano, so it’s instinct for me to teach the piano! My mother was a piano and music teacher and she inspired me to do the same.
