Teacher Info

I am a fully qualified music teacher with a current DBS check. I am a very experienced tutor (have been teaching for over 15 years), especially adults, from beginners to advanced. I am patient and creative, devising individualised learning plans to suit individuals. I work with a pupil’s musical interests and preferred learning styles.

I can teach music reading and theory, and am also happy to teach by ear and can teach jazz and improvisation. I am experienced with entering students for grade exams if they want to do them, and have a very good track record for excellent results.

I have a creative approach to teaching and am happy to teach in a variety of different ways, depending on a student’s goals. I can teach music theory and reading music or teach by ear. I enjoy teaching any style from classical to pop, klezmer and jazz.

Many thanks for teaching me and believing in me. I could never have imagined that I would be playing in a big band within just 3 years of starting to play.
