My name is David Jobson and I'm a professional classical guitar teacher offering high quality guitar lessons for students of all learning abilities. Lessons can be taken online via Zoom, Skype and FaceTime.
I specialise in teaching students how to play classical guitar, welcoming both beginner guitarist as well as more advanced guitarists to my online lessons. I teach students from around the world using Zoom, Skype and other similar platforms.
I take a student lead approach to teaching guitar, working with the student to find the music that inspired them to pick up the guitar and blending this with technical exercises that help students to build the skill sets to really excel on the guitar.

I welcome younger learners, from the ages of 6 years old and upwards, including many adult learners to my online classical guitar lessons. I have great course of lessons ideally suited for younger students, giving them the foundations of how to play the guitar with confidence.
I have experience across a wide range of musical genres, including Flamenco, Latin and Classical guitar music from across the ages. We can also cover more contemporary songs on the classical guitar as well, my lessons will cover the styles of music that inspire you.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.
I welcome both beginner students and more advanced students to take my lessons. I will make a lesson plan that suits your ability level.

Hello, my name is David and I am a Darlington based guitar tutor and have played the guitar for over 30 years. I have a wealth of experience in music having gained a BaHons in music from Brunel University and more recently a Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF).
I have taught in the school system both in London and the Midlands for the Richmond Music Trust, Richmond Adult College, Arts in Education and privately for my own company DAJ Music Production. I have a passion for teaching guitar to all ages and abilities, to help students across Leicester to develop their guitar playing ability and to give people a fun learning experience.

More recently I have been composing for the TV and film industry from my studios firstly in London and now the Midlands where I write/produce and records for all forms of media specialising in TV theme and incidental music packages for production companies. Published through Connexion Media Group and Universal Music Publishing with credits all over the world I have gained a reputation as a versatile musician and composer.
Alongside my experience as a guitar teacher, I have around 20 years experience in the music industry, gigging and touring during the 1990s “Britpop” era. Playing as a session musician and in my own bands writing, producing and recording.
All of my combined performance and teaching experience allows me to provide Classical guitar lessons that are built around your own personal preferences and musical interests.
My lessons are taken from the comfort of your own home.
All you need is an internet connection of at least 3mbps, a working camera and a guitar. Learning online has now become a normal and well established route for students around the world, with my students taking lessons with me from all corners of the globe.
So whether you based in the USA, Europe or beyond I can help you to significantly improve your guitar playing through carefully structured guitar lessons that suit your goals.
In regard to lesson payment I can accept both bank transfer and PayPal. For international students, I would recommend Paypal as it is a secure and well used payment platform. I will provide payment details when organising the lesson. Payment has to be received before the lesson can take place. If you don't send payment then your lesson will not take place.

My lessons are charged at £17 per half hour and £34 per hour.

I teach both adults and young learners ages 6 and above.
The frequency of lessons is entirely up to you. From experience, I have found that weekly lessons are the best way to improve your playing and I would recommend weekly lessons combined with plenty of home practice.
Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will still be charged full price.
